Welcome to the MCCI Case Study Page
On Saturday, July 11th 2009, Teaiiano in collaboration with Mt. Calvary Church International, Inc. presented...
How to Use Clear, Concise and Complete Communication
to Grow Your Organization
This interactive training was facilitated by Thomas E. Anderson, II for twenty-nine ministry leaders in the MCCI Family Life Center.
Here is what people are saying about the program:
| "I like learning about the Power of Perspective and that language barriers can keep us from understanding each other when we communicate. Learning about the different eye views will help me to be mindful of who I'm talking to when I'm communicating whether in a personal relationship with co-worker, etc. It was important to me that I learned that asking properly gives the person to whom I'm talking a choice. - Pat Christian |
| "The program provides each person the opportunity to express themselves and participate without being judged." - Cassandra Strand |
| "I believe it will be a great asset to companies and churches worldwide." - Lawana Otey |
| "It was very simplistic yet informative, well structured yet relaxed." - L. C. Strand |
Here is what people are saying about Thomas:
| "I loved the layout of the presentation and your approach." - Floyd Crumble |
"I enjoyed rewarding volunteers with power points." - Lois Jones |
This biblically-based, interactive communication training was designed to help MCCI leaders:
- Learn to compensate and reward volunteers without paying them
- Get new people working and participating
- Boost morale of long standing team mmembers
- Motivate and mobilize your team members to action
- Relieve stress of 20% of the people doing 80% of the work
- Manage conflicts using verbal and non-verbal communication
- Discuss leadership challenges
We also discussed:
- How denying freedom of choice produces rebellious team members.
- How your language can draw people to your mission and make you more magnetic
- How the wrong language limits your options
- How to gauge responses when you ask for things
- How to get to the heart of issues and design solutions that last
- How your normal everyday non-verbal language says "please"
At the end of the training, the attendees evaluated how the speaker presented the ideas and concepts. On a scale of one to ten (1-10), this is how we did:
| Evaluation Criteria | Rating |
How valuable were the ideas and concepts presented? | 9.28 |
How effective was the presentation of the material by the speaker? | 9.24 |
Each participant had a chance to win a laser coaching session with Thomas, based on the amount of power points they received. Here is how it turned out: | Place | Winner | Points | Prize |
| 1st place | Natasha Christian | 665 | 30 min coaching session |
| 2nd place | Raymond Otey, Jr. | 551 | 15 min coaching session |
Face in the Place | Everyone | 550 - 50 | Special Report |
Continental breakfast and lunch were included.
